イギリスのプログレッシブ・ロック・バンド、GENTLE GIANT(ジェントル・ジャイアント)のライヴ盤。1977年リリース。
1976年の欧州ツアーが収録されており、ライヴでも多彩な楽器を使用し、スキのない完璧な演奏は｢超絶技巧バンド｣の名に恥じない内容となっている。
私の好きなアルバム｢オクトパス｣からのメドレーも素晴らしく、スタジオ・テイクに引けをとらないプレイは、本当に見事！
映像がないので確かめようがないが、たった5人でこれだけ多様な楽器を使用しているとは、持ち替えなど、いったいどうやっているのだろう。
職人魂を感じさせるような完璧なプレイは、自分たちが大事に作り上げた一曲一曲を、ライヴで安易に演奏してなるものかというような思いが込められているのだろうか。
22曲と、ボリュームある内容で、私のお気に入りのライヴ・アルバムの1枚だ。
